Has anyone worked in Saudi Arabia with the F-15 PDM program?
I just got a job offer to work in Riyadh. I'll be doing electrical work on F-15's in the Technical Support Program. I would like some info on the work, overall conditions (ie living, things to do, etc) We would be living on the Jadawel Compound so any information bout the compund would be great too! Thanks! Also, is $49,049.42 a good salary in Saudi Arabia...Tax free!!

Hi I hadn't work with the Air Force before , but I'm from Riyadh , I wish to help you in the Riyadh's info. * First of all like all foreigners have stereotypes about saudi society : don't afraid to talk with saudi's they respect the foreign people . * Riyadh is a safe place to live in , we always as saudi's make our house's door opened to the guest , this is one of our customs . * Many Saudi's know English specially young people ,so don't hesitate to ask anyone if you wanna anything . * Riyadh is a big city and its a good city for shopping&having fun . * Like others big cities its crowded in certain hours . *There are many big malls there (e.g. Alfaisaliah , Kingdom,Hayat , and Sahara mall ) . *There are many big supermarkets like Panda , Carfour , and Gian . and there are best coffee shops . *Most popular street in Riyadh is Olaya street . On Olaya street you'll find many malls, coffee shops and resturants . *If you love desert there is popular desert (20 KM from Riyadh ) called Thumamah , its smooth's sands make it beautifull place to visit . *There is no "offically " wine in Saudi Arabia . *Your salary is very acceptable here in Saudi . hope this help u

What company? Boeing? I don't know about the Jadawel compound in Riyadh, but the jadawel compounds in Khobar are decent.. They aren't huge, but they have many western families there and they try to bring many amenities to help you.. they have a little commissary to buy a few western products, they have pools, recreation, shuttle buses for women to take them to the major shopping grocers and malls, they have loads of social activities also.. .. The security is well, and as for your salary, that is excellent, you will be able to save loads if you don't spend extravagantly... If you budget and purchase local goods and don't go overboard purchasing the imported stuff like name brand items (your wife might go wild there, its tempting) you can save loads for a good nest egg to go back home with.. You can get a good used car here (don't go purchasing a brand new one just for the time here) there are many good used ones and gas is so cheap, so you can save there.. .. You'll be fine.. welcome and good luck! ^_^ PS: are you moving to SAudiArabia or Pennsylvania.. your other question was about pennsylvania...
