What is it like to live and work in Saudi Arabia as a female

What is it like to live and work in Saudi Arabia as a female?
I will be recruiting students for academic study does anyone know if I will find this more difficult to do as a Woman or would it depend on a number of factors? would it matter if I was married or single also any pointers on social etiquette would be fantastic. I'm only asking the question because I have heard so much conflicting information. I hope I will get an honest answer here. Many Thanks

i was there for 6 years and found it amazing to be mixing with another culture. you have to follow their rules/laws. in some areas, all the women must wear the burqa (face cover). should not talk to men in public.

It depends on your job and country, assuming you are a westerner working for a university you won't face any big problems, the biggest problem is the weather, and depends on which city are you going to you might have to wear a black cloak named abaya, you don't have to wear burqa.

regarding people; if you are interested in other cultures you will like it as you can learn new things every day..breaks the routine if you are patient at the beginning...plus the more recent western life style they are starting to accommodate with..YOU WILL SURVIVE :P regarding weather; from December to April its awesome..from may to September its disastrous
