Does any one work in Saudi Arabia as an aircraft technician

Does any one work in Saudi Arabia as an aircraft technician?
Does any one work in Saudi Arabia as an aircraft technician? I will finished up my A&P certification & BS degree in aviation management from Embry-Riddle University. I was told there is good money to be made in Saud and your family can come too. Any one currently working there? Any info. you can provide would be great. Safe? What are the living conditions? Pay? Is it worth it? What is it like living there? What city/location are most US workers? Etc. Thanks

There are a lot of Americans working in Saudi Arabia. Most Americans live in Riyadh, Jeddah, or Al Khobar/Dhahran. Most of them live inside compounds that cater to Americans and Europeans. Some choose to live outside, which will save you a lot of money, but you'll lose the benefits of being in a compound such as transportation for the kids to school, a pool, a small store inside for basic groceries, social gatherings, etc. The living conditions are very good in Saudi Arabia. There are many poor people who live in horrible conditions, but you'll have a good job and will find a nice place to live. Saudi Arabia is very safe. There's not much crime. The only thing that's not really safe is driving. People don't respect the traffic laws at all, including a lot of the police force. Also, women cannot drive yet. Pay - Usually very good for Americans. Americans are generally on the top of the pay scale for most companies. Is it worth it? - That's all up to you. You have to weigh everything before making your decision. I don't work here. I'm married to a Saudi, so I can't really tell you what it's like living here as an expat worker. I live like a Saudi...

Check out www.jobsataramco.com they are looking for A&P certified techs. However, they usually require 10 years + experience. Living on Aramco is like being a spoiled little kid, the houses are not as nice as some compounds but the rest of the facilities, schools etc are first rate.
