i am working in saudi arabia with NRE status. I must apply for PAN card? After receiving this card i have to pay tax? How much or how it calculate?

You can apply for a PAN card and can just keep it with you for future needs. It is not compulsory to file returns if you do not have taxable income. You have to pay tax if your Indian Income exceeds the below limit for the financial year 2007-08. Male <65 years- if his income exceeds Rs.1,10,000 Female <65 years- if her income exceeds Rs.1,45,000 Seniour Citizen-Male or Female > 65 years exceeding Rs.1,95,000.
