Simply show them you are honest, trustworthy and dependable. That is all people want to see. Saudis are not much different than Americans.

We already have doctors from all parts of the world working in SaudiArabia and they are all respected as such.. If you are good, experienced, well trained in your field.. Respectful of patients rights and feelings, you will do well here.

Honestly I have no idea why some people treat questions that are related to Saudi Arabia like it’s some kind of a joke! I’m a Saudi Arabian girl and when I go to a hospital it doesn’t really matter what nationality the doctor is, as long as he's able to treat me in a professional way and with respect ( some doctors can be really rude). And I really dislike a doctor who ignores my name completely (although it is right in front of him in my file) and refers to me as ‘patient ‘. A doctor who smiles gains a huge respect, cause we are aware of the fact that he is busy all the time and is probably tired, yet he is still able to embrace his pleasant personality. Try treating people like they are family. Saudi Arabian people don’t like stiff doctors. Yes we accept professional boundaries but not coldness.

Sanjay there are lot of people who have answered you, proving how ignorant they are! Work environment is same as everywhere, gain their trust, be warm/courteous, but make sure to follow the rules/laws of the country. Being a Dr you know what yr profession demands, maybe in the new country you may not be able to understand their accent easily, be careful on that before yr prescribing any medical treatment.

well to be honest with you, if you treat ppl nicely & respectfully, everybody will treat you the same, but don't think that would make you a better doctor. only your work quality do that.. best of luck
