Hey guys..I bought an Iphone 3 weeks ago and its great,but am going to Saudi Arabia next week,and am wondering if my Iphone will work In saudi arabia..bcuz i heard that (Mobily) sells Iphonez...So Will my iphone work,..or i have to buy 1 from saudi arabia. ??

I know if you buy a blackberry and bring it to saudi it will work but im not sure about the iphone. I guess it's cause everyone here has blackberrys. I think you have to take it to mobily and get them to make it work for you. But trust me once your here you'll want a blackberry :) Good luck !

I am a Hindu? I wish to work in Saudi Arabia. Will I be forced to convert to Islam?
The grapevine is that non Muslims face continual harassment and peer pressure from Arab Muslim colleagues and Saudi govt. clerics to convert to Islam? Even your visa renewal prospects are supposed to depend whether you embrace or reject Islam? Please advise?

Sounds hard to believe since there's always a lot of workers there from western countries but also from India and the Philippines. You do hear a lot of stories of non-western workers being treated like shit and I do believe there's some truth there.

There are many Hindu workers in Saudi Arabia it is actually very safe if you do not break the law and follow the rules 100%. Just dont walk around during Prayer times or make offensive remarks in public.

Are you a Hindu? Seems like it. Will you face continual harassment and pressure from Arab Muslim collegues and Saudi Govt clerics to convert to Islam? NO. Where did you get nonsense from? Your visa renewal got nothing to do with your Religion at all. You may have more Indian colleques than Arabs:))

nobody is going to force u. there r many non muslims in saudi arabia u just cant enter mecca and medina. however im sure u will face too much harassment and disrespect in many situations like when u will tell ur name to someone.

No one forces them to convert.. and they've obviously had their visa renewed several times or they'd not been allowed to remain.. I dont think you'd be harrassed, but yes, people will ask you and people will try to talk to you about Islam, all you have to do is remain respectful and say thankyou, i'll look into it.. and then go your own way and at least you didnt cause any harm.. Its when you become confrontational and start arguing or saying something like "Islam?!!!! why would I want to join that terrorist cult?"... this is only an example, but certainly you wouldnt say anything like that.. Just respect all here and you will be respected..

i really woudn't recommend working in saudi arabia, because they do pressure u tp convert to islam.
