if your profession is labour than it may not get converted at all to family status but if your profession is salesman or accountant or any other blue collar jobs it would not be trouble, sometime the sponsor are not ready for converting the visa to family status and they often find it an escape to blame regulations

Are you in Saudi Arabia? If you're not here already, I doubt your employer will change your status to family after they already issued you a single visa. You would have to request from your employer to change your status to family. It might take a while for approval and for your family to join you. Also, you have to make more than 3000 SAR a month (I think that's the number now) and you cannot have labor as your occupation. If your occupation is labor, then you need to get that changed before you can change to a family visa.

If they stopped, why are you asking? You can convert it only if your sponsor approves.
4 :
No, because a work visa is only issued to one person to work in the kingdom for a specific period of time as stated in your contract with the sponsor. If you want to bring your family, you should apply with your sponsor and justify that you can support them during their stay with you in the saudi arabia. If your sponsor is convinced, then they will help you for your application for a family status visa with the immigration dept. Try to talk with your employer about this.

The immigration rules and requirements for Canada can be found online: https://www.migrationexpert.com/canada/register.asp?type=1 http://www.cic.gc.ca/ Don't forget to obtain a Police clearance certificate from the Saudi Authorities as long as you are in the country. After leaving KSA you will not be able to get one.

.....its better to have job prospects already in dubai before you go there.....because visit visa for dubai, the maximum is only 15 days after that you have to go out of dubai. 15 days is not enough to look for a job there and you cant use your saudi arabia visa since its a diffrent country already. If you found a job in dubai in less than 15 days the better but you have to coordinate with your new employer to process your working visa and you still have to go out after 15 days and come back with a working visa from your employer....

I agree with Carl. It is better try while in Saudi. However, getting a job in Dubai is not easy whether you are in Dubai or not. You must follow specific tricks to get a job in Dubai. Here are few tips that I learned from the e-book at http://www.thatsdubai.com/jobs 1. Do not email your CV. Try to contact the HR Manager over the phone and then send the CV directly to the HR Manager. 2. Don't waste your time with thousands of recruitment agents in Dubai. Most of them even do not read your resume. Stick with few reliable agents such as bayt.com, clarendonparker.com etc.

Instead of visiting Dubai, it wd be better that u first look for jobs online. Because I have seen many people quitting their job n going to dubai to find another n failing in that. So the best way is to first apply online n then going through it: http://www.apnijobs.com This site will help u alot.
